To Spay or Not To Spay

With local animal shelters staying at max capacity most of the time, it’s important to spay or neuter your rescue pets. Most shelters will even pay for the surgery. Not only will this keep unwanted litters from being surrendered, there are health benefits for your fur babies. 

After having several rescued babies throughout the years, I have got to share the best thing that I have ever discovered, and that is a surgical onesie. There’s no more cone of shame and recovery is much easier for both you and your furbaby.

      When Bella was spayed, the vet of course put her in the cone of shame. She is a small dog and that cone of shame was almost as big as her entire body. She kept running into walls and I felt absolutely helpless. I don’t even remember how I discovered the surgical onesie, but it is a game changer. They step into it and it snaps at their back so nothing rubs their incision. I won’t even pretend to know the science behind it, or if there even is any, but she never acknowledged her incision when wearing the surgical onesie. 
      It was the best purchase that I’ve ever made.
